Dear {FIRST_NAME},

Well, I finally did it. I bought a green chair. I've been scouring Craig's List and looking in antique and furniture stores for the last five years and finally found a big, comfy green chair. And it's waiting for you to sit in it.

Five years ago I chose the name "Green Chair" when trying to come up with a memorable brand. I had a cool graphic of a green chair on my computers that used as a model for my logo. I searched for green chair ever since.

The name seemed to be a good analogy of how I like to do business—sitting down with people and figuring out what they need. An open mind is my best tool for creating a great Internet marketing plan for clients.

Every Green Chair client gets a web site and marketing plan for that web site that is unique. But there is value in consistency and standardization. This past Fall I found that I needed to improve my systems to serve my clients even better.

And now a stunning admission—after a couple of frank conversations with frustrated clients I realized my service needed to get even better.

I began thinking about and studying how to give better service to my clients. I went to a great seminar, got some helpful advice, and hired a consultant to put together procedures to deliver more consistent service.

I also read two books that helped me gain perspective and practical knowledge, What Clients Love by Harry Beckwith and Customer Satisfaction is Worthless, Customer Loyalty is Priceless by Jeff Gitomer. I've applied what I've learned, and we're making great strides in increasing the performance for our clients.

We're not perfect, but we're making progress. If you need some help with your Internet marketing come by and try out the green chair.

NEW CLIENTS

MS Coachworks
This company sells fuel efficient RVs. Besides the cool design to the site, we also created an admin area that allows them to add and delete vehicles easily. [ visit the site ]

Chris Maxwell
Chris is a pastor I met in Denver last summer when we were both seminar speakers at the same conference. Chris contracted encephalitis about 10 years and as a result has a fascinating and unique story of how God has used that illness in him to help others. The ironic thing is that I used to drive by his church just about everyday on my way to work when I lived in Orlando. [ visit the site ]

CreARTive, The Studio
This is a small business in downtown Littleton where you can have parties for adults and children. You can make the mess there, rather than in your home. The owners are very friendly and helpful. One of our designers did a very cool Flash treatment with the mosaic on the front page. [ visit the site ]

JOKES OF THE MONTH

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite funny web sites.

Despair.com

This site mocks the motivational posters that certain offices have hanging on the wall (I apologize in advance if you have one of them on your wall right now). They also have some very funny videos. The picture below is from this month's calendar hanging on my wall.

Cute Overload

This site isn't necessary full of jokes, but it's so syrupy sweet it makes me laugh. I showed my nine year old daughter the site and every other word coming out of her mouth was, "Aahh, that's so cute."

The Onion

I visit this site just about every week when a new issue comes out. They always have a funny take on the latest news. One of my favorite articles is Pudding-Factory Disaster Brings Slow, Creamy Death To Town Below.
