My wife and I took a tour Thomas Edison laboratory in Ft. Myers, Fla., several years ago. It was summer and as we dripped through the tour, we came to fully understand his quote, “Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration.” You could almost see the sweat stains on the floorboards of his laboratory. It was not just the heat that drop the sweat, but also the efforts.
And then there’s a quote by Michelangelo: “If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful at all.”
I got a business plan in the mail today from a client for whom I’m building a web site soon. I was stunned by the amount of details and the amount of work that must have gone into putting together all the information. Even though there have been plenty of harebrained plans that people have put a lot of time into, I’m certain that this is one that will come to fruition.
