I just signed up for the Big Break. It's this conference in Daytona Beach. I was thinking about going home for spring break but thought it over and decided I wanted to go for it this year. Maybe you can come with me.

We're leaving a week from Friday. This semester has been killing me. It'll be great to relax at the beach down in Daytona. The price is pretty good for what you get, plus all the fun we'll have together. Some of the others were telling me about their trip last year. I can hardly wait. I'm outta here.

Hope you can come with me. Give me a call and we'll make plans to hook up.

If I my writing look sloppy it's because I'm writing on the bus. Left this morning around 7 o'clock and hope to get to Daytona in a couple hours. Trip's been pretty fun so far.

At lunch a bunch of us played football. Some of the girls were sitting with their faces to the sun to get a headstart on the suntanning. (I don't think so.) We've been playing Hearts like crazy. I crashed for a couple hours in the back. Then I talked with Jerry, that guy who leads music on campus. I didn't realize he's also an Accounting major. I'll probably have some classes with him next year.

I'll let ya know how things go. Need another short nap before we hit Daytona. There'll be waves to bodysurf or rays to catch soon. See ya.

After the meeting last night a bunch of us walked on the beach. There was a cool breeze coming off the ocean so we wore sweatshirts.

Tonight our whole group is coming over for a spaghetti dinner. I'm in charge of the garlic bread (guess they've tasted my cooking before). Not much room here but it'll be fun. Have gotten to know the others a lot better-from the ride down, sitting together at meetings, and late-night runs to Mickey D's.

Wish you could have come...maybe next year.

Been learning a ton about how to grow in my faith. My small group leader from school and I have talked a lot more than we ever did on campus. Plus this one speaker's been blowing us out of the water. She's making me think about stuff I haven't thought about before.

And for the first time I'm having regular times alone reading the Bible and praying. Each morning we do this after the first speaker.

The biggest thing I'm learning is how to pray. We prayed on the way down, and we pray every day before we head out to the beach to talk to other students. I've never prayed in front of others before, so it was kind of weird at first, but now I love it.

The weather is here. Wish you were beautiful (just kidding). It's so great to be out of New Haven, but I'm bushed. The schedule's been pretty full...plus the late night Hearts and talking take its toll.

We have the day off tomorrow!! There's nothing scheduled so we can sleep in or drive to Denver (about and hour and a half from here). I'll probably go to Disneyworld. Dennis and Trevor are going to EPCOT. Some of the girls are going to stay here to sleep on the beach and come back with a deep, dark savage tan (or savage burn). We need a day off even though it's been fun.

Gotta cruise...bunch of us are hitting this seafood buffet place before the evening meeting. HASTA LA vISTA, BABY!

The emcee told us this morning that all of Ohio and Pennsylvania got at least six inches of snow. Having fun shoveling snow? Did you make it through the blizzard?

I didn't expect such great weather this week. We've only had one day of rain, which is pretty good for spring time. Could really feel the humidity when we crossed the Florida border. Saw trees starting to bud on the way down but everything here is so green and colorful. It'll be another month and a half before we see that in State College.

This week has been so good. Our last meeting is tonight. Guess it's gonna be like a big party.

You really need to come with next year. You'd enjoy getting to know the others better and the teaching is awesome. But I think you'd really like talking to other students about having a relationship with Christ. It got easier as the week went on because I was feeling more confident and understood better the message I was sharing.

I need to put some aloe on my nose (I got a little fried today). And I got to get ready for the bash tonight. See ya.
